Warning people before you go

In the general settings, the out of office heading switches on an automatic reply. You write the message, set the start and end dates, and save. Each of your correspondents receives the reply once, not with every email, and sending stops by itself on the date you set.

A good absence message is three lines: the period, the name and address of the person to contact meanwhile, and nothing more. There is no need to announce publicly that the house is empty for three weeks.

On your phone

Two ways of going about it. The simplest: open the mail address in the phone's browser, as on the computer, and add it to the home screen. The most comfortable: install the mobile application supplied with the service, which warns you when a message arrives and copes better with poor coverage.

Either way your messages are the same as at the office: reading a message on site marks it read everywhere, filing it files it everywhere. There is only one mailbox.

A lost phone

If you lose your phone, tell Cybelia support: your access can be cut off remotely. Then change your password from another device. It takes a quarter of an hour, and settles the matter.

Set your absence the evening before you leave, not on the morning itself. It is the setting everyone forgets in the rush of the last day.

In closing

A properly dated out-of-office reply prevents anxious chasing, and your phone needs no installation. Two five-minute settings, and your leave stops being an issue.
