The manager lets you configure and maintain your IoT system.

IoT device management

The manager is the interface to create, connect and manage devices. Device types are fully customisable and can be displayed on maps or dedicated pages. They can be integrated into rules and visualised in dashboards.  

Geolocation

Geographic overview of your equipment and its current state. Customise the map for your area of interest and enable geofencing to generate alerts or send notifications.

Track their movements and usage conditions in real time. 

 

Data visualisation

On the analysis page, find all your data sources and equipment, comparable over time and against each other. The layout of this page lets you generate a detailed report on how the state of your connected devices evolves.

Multi-tenant access

CIBIOTY can operate as both a server and a client, depending on your needs. Connect any device, API or gateway.

Agents

Protocol agents enable the connection of external devices and services. They support standard protocols such as HTTP, SNMP, MQTT, Bluetooth, serial, TCP, UDP and Z-Wave, as well as vendor-specific protocols such as KNX and Velbus. Build your own agent through a custom project for your specific needs.

API

The manager APIs let external devices and services connect to OpenRemote as clients. OpenRemote offers an MQTT (broker), HTTP and WebSocket API. For headless access, services use the standard OAuth 2.0 protocols.

Gateways and access

Deploy local gateways and connect them to a central instance. Gateway user interfaces remain remotely accessible through a secure tunnel. Data synchronisation can be restricted by attribute and throughput to optimise performance.

Add automation and alarms

Easily add intelligence to your system without writing a line of code.

"When-Then" rules

Monitor any attribute or time-based condition in real time and automatically trigger actions: attribute changes, notifications or alarms. Webhook integration lets you connect these rules to your existing workflows.


Flow rules

Flow rules let you process and transform data to generate new attributes. Use them to convert values, merge several attributes into one, or build dynamic expressions tailored to your needs.


Groovy rules

Groovy is a scripting language to build advanced automation logic. It offers full flexibility to customise system behaviour at runtime — whether for group management, defining new alert conditions, or other custom rules.
