Backups : verified, not just launched
"Backups" page
A backup that runs every evening and has never been read back is not a backup: it is a hope. This page turns hope into certainty, by going and checking that what was copied is genuinely readable.
Backups: run, but above all verified, which is not the same thing.
What we call a target
A target is a place where your data is copied: the workshop's storage box, a remote space, a shared folder. You add one with the Add a target button: a meaningful name, "Workshop storage", a type, and the technical settings Cybelia Cloud fills in with you at installation.
The four possible states

| Verified | The copy has been read back, it is intact. This is the normal state. |
| Too old | The last check is dated. Worth rerunning, but no hurry. |
| Warning | Something deserves a look. |
| Tampered | The content changed for no reason. This is rare, and it is precisely why we check. |
The integrity score sums up the state of your copies in one figure. At Les Ateliers it is green and the last check was last night. The Verify all button reruns a full check whenever you like, before the summer break, for instance.
The useful action
Once a quarter, click Verify now on your main target and watch the date change. Thirty seconds, and you know your quotes, your drawings and your accounts can be recovered.
This page also watches for traces of software that encrypts files to hold them to ransom. A regularly read-back copy is the best known answer to that kind of mishap.
In closing
A backup never read back is only a hope. The only question worth asking is about restoring: if the last verification is green, you know your data will come back.
