Finding it six months later
Entering data is easy. Finding it again six months later is what separates a useful tool from one you endure. Cydoo has only one way of searching, the same everywhere: the bar at the top of every list.
Three letters are enough
Looking for the Beaulieu quote? Type "beau". Cydoo searches the customer name, the document number and the lines. There is no syntax to learn, no wildcard to put around the word.
Filters stack. Click "This year", then "Unpaid": you get this year's invoices that are still owed. Each filter you add narrows the list, and a click on the cross removes it.
Grouping to understand
The "Group by" button changes how a list reads. Group your invoices by customer and you see at a glance who owes you what. Group them by month and you see the shape of your year. The list does not change, only its presentation does.
Keeping a search you use
A search you repeat every Monday deserves to be saved: "Favourites", then "Save current search". It waits for you next time, one click away.
The support behind it: if you cannot find a document you are certain exists, it may be archived rather than deleted. Support confirms this in a minute, and nothing is ever lost without a trace.
In closing
Three letters, filters that stack, a grouping that changes how you read the list: there is no syntax to learn. The one habit that pays off is to save as a favourite the searches you redo every week.
