Companies : the administrative record

"Companies" page

This page complements the previous one. Where "My organisation" manages machines and licences, this one carries each entity's administrative identity: what is needed to invoice and to identify it legally.

The company's administrative record: what appears on reports and invoices.

What a record holds

Four pieces of information, no more: the company name, its fourteen-digit registration number, its address, and the email address invoices should go to.

That last one deserves a moment's attention. It decides whether Farida receives the invoices directly, or whether they land in Camille's inbox to be forwarded. The right setting saves a round trip every month.

Creating and deleting

The Add a company button opens the form; Create confirms it. A company with machines attached cannot be deleted: the message tells you so plainly rather than failing silently.

One company is enough for most businesses. If you have a single legal entity, fill in its record once and never come back. This page is only really useful to groups made of several companies.

The link to the rest

The registration number and the address feed your contractual documents and your invoices. A well-filled record today saves an exchange of emails on the day the renewal is prepared.

At Les Ateliers du Vent d'Ouest there is only one record. Camille filled it in on installation day, in three minutes, and nobody has touched it since.

In closing

Four administrative details, not one more. They matter on the day a report has to name a specific entity, which always happens sooner than you expect.
