"Insurability" page
Insurers who cover computer risk all send the same kind of questionnaire, long and technical. Filling it in takes a day and leaves a doubt: did I answer correctly? This page answers for you, with measured facts.
Six criteria, one grade
| Criterion | What is looked at |
|---|---|
| Two-step verification | Are privileged accounts protected by a second factor? |
| Backups | Are they recent and verified? |
| Endpoint monitoring | Are machines followed continuously? |
| Threat watch | Are the lists of known dangers up to date? |
| Awareness | Are the teams trained? |
| Privileged accounts | Are they kept in a safe? |
The result appears as a score and a letter grade, with a breakdown by category and the calculation date. The Recalculate button goes round again whenever you like.
The PDF file is the real deliverable. It contains the pre-filled answers to the questionnaire, backed by what is actually measured at your site. You send it to your broker as it stands. What used to take a day takes five minutes.
Right at the start
If you have just arrived, the page says so plainly: the score is not yet representative until the first connections are made. A getting-started list shows what to switch on, and each item displays the number of points it will bring.
At Les Ateliers, the score went from grade D to grade B in four months, with no heavy investment, mostly settings and a good verification habit.
In closing
Answering an insurer with measured facts rather than intentions changes the conversation, and often the premium. The six criteria are the ones you will be asked about: better to look at them before you are.
